WQA = Water Quality Analysis
|

1Action may take two forms: submittal of a Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) or submittal of a Water Quality Analysis (WQA). TMDLs are developed when a given substance or stressor is exceeding water quality standards. WQAs are developed when supplemental data indicate the waterbody is meeting water quality standards for that substance. This list is subject to change.
2Action to address this listing has yet to be determined, but will likely include a watershed protection plan.

EPA's Chesapeake Bay TMDL
Maryland is a partner state for the Chesapeake Bay TMDL under development by EPA Region 3. A new website dedicated to EPA Region 3's Bay TMDL has been created. The website will serve as an important source of information about the nation's largest collective TMDL. It is a work in progress that will continually be updated, improved and expanded.
