Pollution Prevention Intern Program
The Maryland Department of the Environment and University of Maryland Manufacturing Assistance Program have partnered to place engineering students as summer interns at fourteen Maryland companies. Participating companies have included metal finishers, printers, and a variety of manufacturing facilities. Engineering students work closely with University staff to identify process and equipment improvements that will save the company money and reduce its environmental impact.
