What

Dedication ceremony for the upgrade of the Brunswick Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) in Frederick County, Maryland. Funded with over $12 million from the Bay restoration, the upgrade to Enhanced Nutrient Reduction (ENR) will reduce the Brunswick WWTP’s yearly load of nitrogen by 83% and the yearly load of phosphorous by 85%. These improvements will decrease the amount of nutrients discharged into the Potomac River and the Chesapeake Bay and help Maryland meet our goals under the Chesapeake Bay Agreement.

Baltimore Beltway to I-70 West exit 16 towards Frederick. Take exit 52 to merge onto
US-15 S/US-340 W toward Leesburg/Charlestown. Continue to follow US-340 W at the split. Take MD-17 S exit toward Brunswick. Turn Left onto MD 17/ Burkittsville Road, pass thru 1 roundabout. Turn slight right onto MD-17/MD-79/Petersville Road. Enter the roundabout and take 3rd exit onto N Maryland Ave. Turn Left onto W. Potomac Street and end at 1 W. Potomac Street.
