ANNAPOLIS, MD (December 5, 2000) – Governor Parris N. Glendening and Lt. Governor Kathleen Kennedy Townsend will host a holiday open house for the general public and state employees on Wednesday, December 13, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Government House, 110 State Circle, Annapolis.

The official residence of the Governor will be adorned in a multi-cultural holiday theme of "Marylanders from Around the Globe, " featuring decorated trees and other holiday displays depicting homes, clothing, animals, flags, monuments and legends from every continent.

Entertainment for the open house will include Beth Tfiloh Community School SHIRU-LI Women’s Assemble of Baltimore, from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., and Severna Park High School String Quartet, from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. Cookies and hot cider will be served.

From 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the day of the open house, free parking will be available at the Navy and Marine Corps Stadium, Taylor Avenue, Annapolis, and complimentary transportation from the stadium to Government House and back to the stadium will be provided by the City of Annapolis Trolley Shuttle.
