Press Release

The Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) has published its 1998 Maryland Construction and Demolition Materials Recycling Directory. The publication, which promotes the recycling of construction and demolition materials in Maryland, was funded through a Jobs-Through-Recycling grant provided by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

The directory is intended to serve as a reference for construction and demolition contractors and remodelers who are interested in establishing a waste reduction program for their businesses. It provides names, addresses and telephone numbers of businesses that process construction and demolition materials for recycling. Handlers and processors of recyclable materials are categorized by the types of materials accepted. The directory also contains those companies that provide unique salvage or reuse services.

Copies of the directory may be obtained by contacting MDE's Recycling Services Division at (410) 631-3315.
