The Water Supply Program annually hosts the Maryland Ground Water Symposium.  The symposium has been held since 1992 and provides an opportunity for networking and information sharing among scientific, environmental and public health professionals in State, local and federal government. The symposium is also recognized by the Board of Sanitarians towards fulfilling Registered Sanitarian continuing education requirements.
