Water Sampler Certification (via MRWA)

Performing the required testing of public water systems is the primary
means of evaluating the safety of the drinking water supply. This begins with
the proper collection of samples.


Becoming a certified sampler in the State of Maryland assures the reliability
of Safe Drinking Water Act compliance samples submitted to state certified
laboratories and assures samplers are properly trained with all current
regulatory requirements under state law.

This certification is primarily for the following:

  • Laboratory personnel
  • Water system operators & superintendents
  • County & state health department staff
